One thing that missing even the latest firmware v20.0.012 for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is the ability to select multiple items in a list, without having to highlight each item, then go to options>mark for each one. This used to be accomplished by holding down the pencil key on older handsets, such as the Nokia N95, but starting with the N82, the pencil (pencil also known as ABC, or Shift) key was banished to the nether-regions, with the # key taking over the responsibilities.

It’s not so long ago since previous firmware v11.0.008. The new firmware v20.0.012 now can downloaded through Nokia’s Software Update application or straight from your 5800 by downloading it over the air.
