Reuters reported that at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2008 Samsung hoped to have a phone based on Google’s Androidmobile phone software platform by early 2009.

Samsung recently at Mobile World Congress 2009 announced that they will sell more than three phones using Google’s Android software by the end of the year.
Won-Pyo Hong, Samsung head of product strategy, added the first Samsung phones running on Android software would be on both United States and Europe markets by the end of the year.
