Panasonic released HDC-SD100 its 3CCD High Definition Camcorder which can record 1920×1080 HD Video or 2.1-megapixel (16:9) still image onto SD/SDHC memory card (an 8GB card is included).Because its storage is SD/SDHC Memory card, the camera weighs far less than hard-drive tapeless camcorders.
Currently The SDHC (High Capacity) memory cards availability are 8GB,16GB and 32GB.SD100 equipped with Advanced Optical Image Stabilizer,Leica Lens, 12x Optical Zoom, 2.7″ Wide LCD .Panasonic also give SD100 with the audio from stereo up to 5.1-channel for surround sound Dolby Digital quality.
The resulting video looks pretty good, but not perfect. Dark parts of the image has some lattice-like effects, but outdoor shots look clean and sharp, as long as you don’t pan too quickly (and a popup on the LCD will remind you if you do). The camera can shoot for about two hours on a charge, but you’ll run out of space on the SD after an hour unless you buy up or lower the resolution. All drawbacks aside, if you want a light, sharp, compact HD camcorder, the Panasonic’s a safe bet.
Panasonic HDC-SD100 has price tag for $1,099.95 at Panasonic Online Shop. But now you can have for $868.14 at Amazone
